The story of Oraije ?

How it all started

Oraije Jeans: A Promise of Trust and Comfort

Founded in 2004 by Sandrine and Jérôme Huang under the name Cindy H, this family brand draws its roots from a strong heritage. In 2021, under the leadership of David Huang and Jessica Ren, Cindy H became Oraije Paris, a symbol of renewal and an inclusive vision.

At Oraije, the philosophy is simple: jeans should adapt to women, not the other way around. As Collection Director, Jessica's mission is to design pieces that combine style, comfort, and confidence.

To achieve this, she pushes the boundaries of her inspiration every day to meet the expectations of Oraije women.

Oraije is not just a brand. It's a legacy, a vision for the future.

Follow the thread of an idea

An idea: the starting point of a design

Each idea immediately transforms into a sketch, a chapter, a new adventure. Sometimes, it all starts with a tiny detail: a button, a pocket, an embroidery, a hem. So many small touches that make our jeans ever more daring and unique.

Creating jeans that fit every woman requires constantly going further. Anticipating trends, experimenting with new materials, exploring new textures.

Unlike a traditional approach where we simply choose a fabric, the process here begins at the source: the selection of the threads. These carefully chosen threads are used to create a unique weave that reflects a precise vision. In the workshop, several fabrics are studied, and from each, a specific thread is extracted to create a custom material, perfectly suited to the desired creation.

It is this demanding and meticulous process that gives our jeans their soul and unique character.

Born in a roll of fabric

This Passion That Guides Me

My passion for fabric, the intertwining of threads, and the materials that come to life in garments dates back to my childhood spent in a sewing workshop in Milan. My father, a cutter, and my mother, who worked with pattern makers, passed on this love of fashion design to me, a true family tradition.

Today, I cultivate this passion alongside Sandrine, my husband's mother. She taught me to always strive for perfection and never stop learning. In 2004, she founded Cindy H and was one of the first to market slim-fit jeans in the 11th arrondissement of Paris.

In 2018, she entrusted me with the reins of this adventure. This passing of the torch represents much more than a simple transfer of responsibilities: it's a mark of trust that deeply honors me. Inspired by its heritage, I strive to preserve this balance between timelessness and modernity, while pursuing the quest for excellence that is the soul of our creations.

Aurais-je ?

Because Oraije is much more than just a pair of jeans.

When designing each pair of jeans, we always put ourselves in the shoes of the person who will wear them:

- Would I feel confident in these jeans? - Could I wear them in all circumstances? - Would I fall in love with the material and the cut? - Would I have the audacity to become a fulfilled and confident Oraije woman?

To all these questions, we answer with a resounding, resounding YES. Because Oraije is not just a brand: it's a legacy, a burning passion dedicated to you, the Oraije women.
